お疲れ様。。。
ゆっくり休んでね。
I don’t quit once I step on court,Guess you got to drill me one in the eye, then maybe. But otherwise I don't quit.
My body was hurting.
Normally, best-of-three match, it’s peanuts. So it was a pity I couldn’t handle it today.
It's been a good year. But tough to start off with. Tough to end. I have mixed feelings about his season.
But I think it gives me the opportunity to start over all new again next year.
I am very tired. Pretty happy I don’t have a match tomorrow, to be honest.
I almost made a miracle happen, you know, I can’t believe how close I got, to be honest. So I’m actually very happy.”
I think it gives me the opportunity to start over all new again next year.
You were not prepared enough at the start of the season because of the mono. Was it also a frustrating year, because you couldn't reach your potential?
It was frustrating today, for example, because I knew that I couldn't play the way I wanted. The start of the year wasn't optimal. In Australia I didn't know what I had, and then in Dubai, IW and Miami I first of all had to (not sure of this bit, fight back, perhaps). But it was good at Paris, Wimbledon and the USO, there I played well. It was also interesting, because I had not had these experiences before, and an exhausting year. Perhaps I also lost my 'pfuus' (think that's like 'puff' perhaps)
What have you learned this year?
I've learned to be careful, and am proud of my performance under difficult circumstances. I set myself a challenge, and played matches although I knew that I wasn't optimally prepared and could lose. In the next year I will certainly be able to be play 100% prepared/
So, what next? Will you play the Exhos next week?
I think actually, that I'll have recovered in three or four days, and actually would really like to fulfill these commitments. Then I'll take 2 - 2.5 weeks holiday, and then start training. The new season starts with an Exho in Abu Dhabi, then Doha, Kooyong and the AO
How is the search for a coach going.
That's actually finished. JH and Luthi will be coming to Dubai for training. But I'm really happy with Luthi, he is doing an outstanding job. He really does do a coaching role, actually, not matter what I or he says.
